It is important to note that your program needs to be of the same version or a newer version than the file itself. For example, Allegro can open Finale and older files, but not Finale files. However, we do recommend the full-fledged Finale software for its "linked parts" functionality. This makes working with the score and parts much more efficient and convenient.
