After creating a PDF file, you may notice that some important points missing from the document need to be added. This may be difficult if you don't have the appropriate software to edit and insert text into an existing PDF file. Or you want to add some texts in PDF to implement the content. After opening PDFelement, click the Open Files button to open a PDF document, click the Edit button, you can start to type, either edit text or add new text as you need.
Before doing anything else, you need to download PDFelement on your computer and install it. Once installed, you can launch the program. With its easy-to-use interface, you can simply drag your document into the program or click on the "Open files" button.
This will be directed to the computer folder, you can search and select the PDF file to edit. After choosing it, click on the "Open" button. Once you have opened the PDF file, click on the "Edit" tab. From there, move the cursor to the field in which you want to insert text.
Click on that field, and it will be selected. Once you double-click, you will now be able to insert text in PDF documents. Then click anywhere on your document to insert the text box and type in the content. Once you are done, you can save the changes. After adding text in PDF, you can also change the font, font size, text color, word space, and line space, and align the texts. Additionally, it also allows you to add superscripts and subscripts in your PDF document.
What's more, PDFelement also supports adding, deleting, rotating, clipping, and replacing images in PDF by clicking on the "Edit" button. Then scroll down the PDF file to find the desired page.
Click where you prefer to add needed text to activate the text box. Write down the word into the box, and you can adjust the font size and color utilizing the options on the toolbar. Step 3 : Finally, click the Share icon on the upper left side. Then save the final PDF document to your computer or share it via email or other channels.
Note : Preview allows you to add text to a PDF with enough room. You cannot overlay new text on existing text, images, or other elements. Otherwise, you have to erase the original text with white color using the Sketch tool. Sometimes, you are not convenient to install PDF editor software on your computer.
In such cases, can you add text to a PDF? The answer is yes. Online PDF editor apps can meet your need. However, they all have some shortcomings, such as the inability to process encrypted PDF, require a good internet connection, add watermark to the final PDF, leak your privacy, and more.

Then hit the Enter key on your keyboard to access the web app. Step 3 : Select the Text tool, which is the first icon on the toolbar. In the dialog box, click Content Editing under Categories. You can change the text properties using the options under Format in the right pane. To move the text box, place the pointer over the line of the bounding box avoid the selection handles.
When the cursor changes to Move pointer , drag the box to the new location. To maintain alignment with the other list items, press Shift as you drag.
You can move or rotate text boxes on a page. Edits are confined to the page. You cannot drag a text block to another page, or move or rotate individual characters or words within a text box. However, you can copy text boxes and paste them on another page. Resizing a text box causes the text to reflow within the new text box boundaries.
It does not change the size of the text. As with other text edits, resizing is limited to the current page. Text does not flow to the next page. Place the pointer over the line of the bounding box avoid the selection handles.
When the cursor changes to Move pointer , drag the box to the desired location. Hold down the Shift key as you drag to constrain the movement vertically or horizontally. Click and hold the Rotation pointer , drag in the direction you want it to rotate.
Place the pointer over any of the circular selection handles, and drag the handle to resize the text block. If you want to mark up selected text with highlight, strikethrough, or underline, use the Comment tool.
The actual text doesn't change in the PDF. Those mark ups only indicate where and how the text should be edited in the source file. For more information, see Highlight, strikethrough, or underline text. You can use annotation and drawing markup tools to add comments.
