I'd like to ask for help with small, but annoying issue. It's not probably related to Uni Xonar, but to general Asus software.

Making it short: I have Xonar DX. The card works flawlessly using both Uni Xonar and standard Asus drivers. Except one thing. Asus Xonar Audio Center always shows me error message about external power not plugged in and then closes. The audio card may not work. Please power off your PC and then connect the power cable onto the card. Power is connected to my Xonar, the card won't work other way. Or I'm wrong and DX can work without external power for example with some options disabled, no headphone amp etc.

Anyway - is there any solution to bypass this annoying message and run Xonar Audio Center? I prefer it over C-Media Audio Panel. I tried to install D1 drivers as well, but they don't change anything. The card works perfectly, but Xonar Audio Center won't start complaining about missing D1 card. Thank you for any help. Never saw that error. It might be your power supply not working correctly or maybe the connector of the card needs to be cleaned I did a full cleanup of the sound card once a year with isopropyl alcohol It it still gives you errors, try another power supply, if it still gives you errors, it might be bricked.

JustGetAHouse9 02 Oct Hi, Ive been using Uni Xonar drivers for 6 years. Theyve worked flawlessly the entire time. Like the post above Id like to thank everyone responsible for making them. So inspite of the low activity here I am, in my desperation, asking for help here Since a new PC build and windows install I cannot get any sound out of my soundcard. My headphones HD work fine and are plugged in correctly. Molex power is fine, the soundcard does the typical click on start up and Ive also tried a different molex cable.

Device manager recognizes the soundcard. Driver installation of UNi-Xonarv1. Headphones in Xonar Audio Center is enabled and the program shows dancing bars when I play audio. Default Asus drivers do not work either. Any ideas? Some things you can try based on what you've stated. Disable all other output devices in the sound control panel.

However disabling all other output devices in the sound control panel sadly doesnt help, the situation remains unchanged Onboard audio works fine with the same headphones that wont work with the soundcard, same goes for a different pair of headphones.

I still like the HDMI theory though TG 02 Oct Now my problem is that I can't seem to get rid of the stereo upmix to 5. Earlier I found the culprit under the "enhancements" -tab in the audio device properties, however, now the said tab doesn't exist for my sound card. Is there some other way to disable the stereo upmix? I'd prefer not to have music playing mainly from my center speaker.

Spotify plays mainly from the center. A bit annoying how I thought I knew exactly what to do this time beforehand, only to find that one of the settings doesn't exist anymore.

At first I thought no sound at all was being played. My onboard sound and AMD hdmi sound are providing proper volume. The Xonar Audio Center shows full bars on the band visualization so it's received a signal from the driver but just not outputting properly.
